Britain could be set for the coldest December in a decade, according to forecasters - with yellow weather warnings for flooding in place from tomorrow.
The Met Office says there is likely to be heavy rain in northern Scotland on Monday and Tuesday, which could cause flooding and transport chaos.
The warning comes into effect at 6pm tomorrow, and lasts until 9pm on Tuesday. More snow is possible in the North East on Tuesday, while experts say December has not been colder than average since 2010's Big Freeze.
