GMB doctor 'genuinely worried' as she issues stark warning over South Africa Covid strain

mirror.co.ukGood Morning Britain 's Dr Sarah Jarvis has admitted she is terrified about the new South African strain of Covid, which could cause more serious illness in younger people.
Speaking to hosts Alex Beresford and Charlotte Hawkins, Dr Sarah also said she was worried about the strain Covid will have on the NHS in the middle of winter.
While Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced on Wednesday that many more regions in the country will be moving to Tier 4, the strictest level of lockdown, Dr Sarah fears it is too little too late.
On the same day, the UK recorded 744 deaths, the highest since the peak at the end of April earlier this year, and recorded 39,297 new cases.
