Music stardom doesn't come overnight for most people, even mega-talented ones like Grammy winner and Tony and Emmy nominee Sara Bareilles.
So it makes sense, then, that the struggling singer/songwriter at the center of Little Voice, the AppleTV+ series loosely inspired by Bareilles' life, didn't magically become a pop star goddess in the season one finale.
Instead, Bess (Brittany O'Grady) finally pushed past her fear of performing her own material and, in the process, caught the eye of an A&R rep.
It's a scene that somewhat mirrors Bareilles' own experience —which Bareilles' co-creator Jessie Nelson included on purpose.
