RAF base have been scrambled after an 'unidentified aircraft' approached the UK. The Typhoon fighters from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray are currently operating under a quick reaction alert.

An RAF spokesman told the Record that an 'unidentified aircraft' was approaching a 'UK area of interest' and they would not comment further until the mission was complete.
