Pep Guardiola's side go into the fixture against Forest on the back of a 4-0 win over Brighton in midweek. Haaland missed the game against the Seagulls due to a muscle injury.
It was the second City fixture that the Norway international has missed due to injury, following on from last weekend's win over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final.
This season has seen Haaland struggle with injury concerns, particularly since December. The striker missed ten matches over Christmas and New Year but has still managed to score 31 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
