Danniella Westbrook says ‘I wasted years hating myself’ as she opens up about addiction
EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook opened up about her battle with drug addiction.The 48-year-old actress appeared in a teaser clip shared for an upcoming podcast beside Paul Danan and Jumpin Jack Frost, where she admitted to wasting “years of her life.”In the heartbreaking clip, Dannielle is heard saying: “It’s taken me 48 years to get to that point and I can’t say I’ll be there tomorrow.“The worst thing I have down is throwing my life away, hating myself, the years I have wasted not liking the person I am.”She is undergoing a series of procedures and operations to repair her face, which was damaged during her lengthy battle with cocaine addiction and suffering from osteoporosis.Danniella recently recorded for The BoAt Pod podcast, where she discussed recovery and mental health.Sharing a photo from filming, Danniella said: “If anyone is struggling with substance abuse or mental illness of any kind, then [please] give it a listen when it airs next week.
