An online fundraiser has been launched to make life “a little bit easier” for Hollyoaks legend Paul Danan’s young son.A friend of the star has set a target of £10,000 for nine-year-old DeNiro.Paul, 46, is believed to have died after slipping and falling at the luxury apartment near Bristol where he was staying.The news of his death was announced on Thursday by his management team.

In a statement, it said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old.“Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many.

His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.”The unnamed friend who launched the GoFundMe for DeNiro, wrote: “There was NO ONE like Pauly.

His excitement and vitality for life were magnetic. He was warm, kind, funny - actually hilarious, vulnerable, self-deprecating and captivating.“Being his friend was a visceral experience, and I defy anyone to close their eyes and picture Pauly with anything but that huge, cheeky, dimpled smile.
