Paul Danan, a former Hollyoaks star, has died aged 46. He died earlier today, management confirmed in a press statement. A statement from Independent Creative Management said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan at just 46 years old.

Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many” They added: “His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.

During this difficult time, we kindly request respect and privacy for Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues. No further comments will be made at this time.” Born in 1978, Danan landed his first acting gig aged just 19 playing the loveable rogue Sol Patrick in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.

He was one of the big stars of that Hollyoaks era, playing a bad boy with a history of homelessness and a temperament that caused him to get in trouble.
