South Lanarkshire Council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor John Anderson, said: “This is another positive move as restrictions continue to ease and we begin the next phase of recovery. “However, as has been pointed out by many people, please remember that the virus has not gone away and social distancing measures and good hand hygiene should still be maintained.“I would like to thank the majority of people who have adhered to our instructions not to use the play equipment during lockdown.“I am sure the children will be delighted to have a play on the facilities which can be found in more than 230 parks across South Lanarkshire.“My message is to enjoy it, have fun but most importantly – stay safe.”.
