Emily Longeretta BET+ will air eight original holiday films this season, kicking off on November 7. Starting the first Thursday in November and running each week until Christmas, BET+ will run original movies “filled with yuletide love, family forgiveness and comedy with a holiday twist.” One of the films goes international, with “A Wesley South African Christmas” set in Durban, South Africa.

Nick Pasqual, who appeared on How I Met Your Mother and Archive 81 and later produced on the comedy series National Day Riff, has been extradited from Texas to Los Angeles and has pled not guilty to attempted murder for stabbing his girlfriend.

How I Met Your Mother actor Nick Pasqual has reportedly been caught attempting to flee to Mexico after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend.The actor, 34, is said to be imprisoned in a remote Texas jail, with reports claiming that he is awaiting extradition back to California. He has reportedly been charged with attempted murder, burglary and domestic violence.The charges were brought against Pasqual last month in connection with the attack on 35-year-old Allie Shehorn, who was stabbed more than 20 times in her Los Angeles home.Now, Pasqual, who has starred in Rebel Moon, American Gangster: Trap Queens and America’s Most Wanted, is being held in Hudspeth County Jail in Sierra Blanca.

Survivors of the doomed flight, which carried a rugby team and their friends and family members from Montevideo to Santiago, managed to stay alive for two and a half months by consuming the flesh of the deceased.

The deeply immersive Spanish-language saga is a Netflix original film shot in Andalusia’s Sierra Nevada, mainland Spain’s highest mountain range, using a 300-person crew. “Society of the Snow” will world premiere on the Lido out-of-competition on Sept. 9th. Its official screening will be held in the Palazzo del Cinema after the awards ceremony. In 1972 Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, which had been chartered to bring Montevideo’s Old Christians Rugby Club team to Chile, crashed at an altitude of 11,712 feet in the Andes.  Of its 45 passengers – which consisted mostly of the rugby team, friends and family – 29 survived. Without food, the survivors, who belonged to Uruguay’s elite, were forced to eat the flesh of the deceased to stay alive. 19 survived an avalanche. 72 days after the crash, 16 finally made it out alive.
