Masterplan to transform Gowkthrapple formally agreed by councillors

Exciting regeneration plans for Gowkthrapple took another step forward this week as a masterplan outlining significant re-development of the area was approved.The proposal, which could see the development of around 300 new homes over four phases, is guided by a masterplan to regenerate the community by building new homes, retail, additional open space and play facilities.An improved transport infrastructure is also part of the masterplan, with hopes of creating a new, attractive and well-connected neighbourhood.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
