Eurovision 2024’s Windows95Man announces new single ‘Paperclip’
Eurovision 2024 contestant Windows95Man has announced a new single titled ‘Paperclip’.The singer – real name Teemu Keisteri – represented Finland at the song contest’s grand final at Malmö Arena, Sweden on May 11, where Switzerland’s Nemo ultimately won. While not emerging as a winner, Keisteri’s grand final performance became instantly memorable – dressed in a Windows 95 cap and T-shirt for his song ‘No Rules!’, Windows95man appeared seemingly naked from the bottom half down and kept up the illusion with some help from the cameramen and his dancers. Now, Keisteri is set to release ‘Paperclip’ on Friday (December 6) – in keeping with his tongue-in-cheek nostalgic gimmick, the song is dedicated to Clippy, the “tireless assistant of Windows operating systems, as well as to all Windows fans,” its press release reads. The track itself draws from 1990s rave music. “Clippy is my best friend,” Windows95Man said in a press statement about the meaning of the new song.A post shared by WINDOWS95MAN (@windows95man)Eurovision 2024 was not without controversy.
