‘Ocean’s Eleven’ actor Scott L. Schwartz dies aged 65

Ocean’s trilogy, has passed away aged 65.Schwartz died November 25 in Los Angeles. According to his wife Misty, the cause of death was congestive heart failure following a long illness (via The Hollywood Reporter).An actor since the early 90s, Schwartz appeared in 2001 hit Ocean’s 11 opposite George Clooney, playing a hired thug who pretends to beat up Clooney’s character Danny Ocean.

He would reprise the role three years later in sequel Ocean’s Twelve, as well as 2007’s finale Ocean’s Thirteen.Aside from the Steven Soderbergh-directed franchise, Schwartz enjoyed a long career in TV and film, mainly playing intimidating characters that made the most of his 6ft 10in height and large physique.

He had minor roles in The Scorpion King, 2002’s Spider-Man, and Jim Carrey comedy Fun With Dick And Jane.Scott L. Schwartz also worked as a stunt man for the TV show Weeds and The Adventures Of Rocky And Bullwinkle with Robert DeNiro.

Prior to acting, Schwartz traveled the world as a professional wrestler, performing under the names Giant David, The Israeli Commando, and Igor The Giant.RIP Scott L.
