monster monsoon looks set to drench millions of Brits and possibly burst river banks this weekend.The staggering rain front will engulf almost the entire country on Saturday (February 12) and Sunday (February 13), moving in from the west before dissipating as we head into next week.
The Met Office have now warned that, on Sunday, a heavy "band of rain" will sweep southward across the country, "with showers following into the northwest of Scotland".
They added: "Strong winds are expected too, especially around coasts, and temperatures will be mild for all."Advanced weather maps from WX Charts lay bare the full extent of this weekend's deluge.
They show heavy bouts of rain in the North East and Wales on Saturday, which move to drench southern-central areas, London and the South East on Sunday.
