Flood warnings and alerts have been issued across Greater Manchester as torrential rain and wind continues to batter the region.
Two severe flood warnings have been issued in south Manchester which could pose a 'danger to life'. Both East and West Didsbury have been put under the highest warning level after the River Mersey burst its banks, with some residents told they may need to evacuate their homes.
The government's Environment Agency has also issued five warnings where flooding is 'expected' and 14 flood alerts, where flooding is possible, are also in place.
