Derick Dapaah and Samuel Mozimbi, both aged 18, were spared custody despite admitting a string of robbery, driving and firearms offences at Manchester Crown Court last week.
Judge Sarah Johnston heard Dapaah had already served 10 months in custody because he committed a second robbery while on bail.
