A botched butt injection could have killed a woman who was found with no clothing from the waist down and needle marks all over her behind.Maxine Messam, 53, was dropped off at Jacobi Medical Centre, Bronx, New York by two women at around 1.30am on Tuesday, February 15.The women drove Maxine in her own car.

It was there that doctors found injection marks all over her behind. She died at the hospital at around 2am and the police were informed.Detectives are considering whether she was the victim of a botched injection and are looking to speak with the two women who dropped her off at the hospital before walking away. "There is no substitute for seeing a surgeon, a board certified plastic surgeon, who is trained in these procedures and is able to deal with the complications should they unfortunately happen," said Dr Scot Glasberg.

Doctors at Jacobi say it appears a foreign substance was injected into the victim's buttocks."There are risks, one of those risks is getting into an artery or vein and having fat get into that artery or vein, that can be a deadly situation," Glasberg said. Her death is being probed as suspicious.

The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the official cause of death. The two women reportedly told hospital staff a "different story that had nothing to do with butt injections,” the NYPD spokesman told The Daily Beast.According to the News, the women portrayed themselves as “good Samaritans” who happened upon Messam “in distress at Woodlawn Cemetery and wanted to help her.”“We don’t know what happened,” Messam’s husband said.“She was at work and she left work.
