After her spell as the milkwoman Barbara, 73, starred in The Beiderbecke Trilogy, as a doctor in A Very Peculiar Practice and had stints in Cracker and Cranford following her declaration she had a fondness for playing “feisty, strong women.”With stints in Miss Potter, Cranford and The Queen, Barbara still continues to act.
