Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress. Coldplay were the latest guests on NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series. They marked the occasion with a cover of the Prince classic “1999,” as well as playing “Viva La Vida”—from the 2008 album of the same name—and “Cry Cry Cry,” “Broken,” and “Champion of the World” from last year’s Everyday Life.

They were backed throughout by the For Love Choir. Late last year, Coldplay visited BBC Radio 1 for a live session including a cover of Crystal Waters’ 1991 hit “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless).”
