Ukrainian model who fled to US as teen ditches law career to become Playboy star

Playboy model has opened up about her “unusual” life story, explaining how she began modelling while studying at a US law school.

Victoria Zdrok was born in Ukraine, which was formerly part of the Soviet Union before the country declared independence in 1991.

The model went on to make a career modelling in the US and also starred in professional adult movies.Since Vladimir Putin ordered Russian troops to invade Ukraine on February 24, Victoria has been vocal on social media in support of her home country.And, before the war began, she shared her turbulent life story when she spoke to Holly Randall on her Unfiltered podcast, admitting: “I probably have one of the most unusual life stories out there.“I came at 16 to the US.

I was the first Ukrainian (Soviet at that time) exchange student. "I was awarded a really rare all academic scholarship, because I spoke English really well.”Victoria was only supposed to stay in Florida for a year but after falling in love with life in the US, she resolved to stay, and this meant getting hitched.“I got married at 17 to my immigration attorney [Alexander Zdrok],” she revealed.“That’s one way to kill two birds with one stone,” Holly laughed.Despite their age difference, the marriage lasted six years – and even provided Victoria with a way into modelling professionally.Victoria recalled how her then-husband had a huge collection of Playboy magazines.He apparently dared his wife to apply to feature as a centrefold, which changed her life forever. “One day he said to me, ‘you look just as good as all these women’.
