Gorillaz headlined London’s All Points East last night (August 19) and debuted a new collaboration with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown – watch them play ‘New Gold’ below.The band played the Victoria Park festival to kick off the second part of their 2022 European tour, and were supported by IDLES, Turnstile, Yves Tumor, Self Esteem, Femi Kuti, Obongjayar, NewDad, Remi Wolf, Gabriels, Ibeyi, Nia Archives and Willow Kayne.During their headline set, they brought out a bounty of special guests including De La Soul, Happy Mondays‘ Shaun Ryder, Popcaan, Moonchild Sanelly and Mos Def.Half way through the set, they then debuted a brand new song called ‘New Gold’, featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown.

Coldplay, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert – have signed an open letter urging world leaders to take action on the pressing affairs of extreme poverty and climate change.The letter was launched by Global Citizen at their inaugural “thought leadership summit”, Global Citizen NOW, which went down yesterday (May 22) in New York City. It comes as part of their yearlong ‘End Extreme Poverty NOW – Our Future Can’t Wait’ campaign.Other names to sign the letter include 5 Seconds Of Summer, Alessia Cara, Billy Porter, Chloe x Halle, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Femi Kuti, Hugh Jackman, Måneskin and Ricky Martin.In the letter, they – and dozens more – call on billionaires, industry magnates, leaders of wealthy countries (such as those in the G7 and G20), and other people of significant influence “to step up by fully committing the funding necessary to tackle the challenges we face”.The letter continues: “We need to improve opportunities for girls around the world, address the systemic barriers that keep people in poverty, and halt the climate crisis.

Willow Kayne has released new single ‘Final Notice’ alongside a Human Traffic-inspired video – check it out below.‘Final Notice’ is the first new material Kayne has released since she dropped debut EP ‘Playground Antics’ earlier this year.The track is, according to a press release, “a love letter to the junglist stylings of her hometown of Bristol” and sees Kayne hitting back at those trying to control her art. “I won’t be a clone of your other projects,” she sings during the track before rolling her eyes at the suggestion she “post more, wear less and most importantly, don’t be yourself.”Elsewhere the video, which can be seen below, takes influence from 1999 coming-of-age drama Human Traffic and sees Kayne and her mates throwing a rave in a record shop.‘Final Notice’ is apparently the start of a new chapter for Kayne with more music on the way.Earlier this year, she released debut EP ‘Playground Antics’.
