Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has announced that he will be sitting out of the band’s European tour.Clown took to social media to announce the news ahead of the band’s European tour kickoff in Austria today (June 7). Per his statement, Clown will not be participating in the tour to take care of his ailing wife “through some health issues”.“I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that I’m back home supporting my wife through some health issues, and I’ll be back on the road as soon as I can,” he wrote.

Jack White attended a Cubs vs Dodgers baseball game alongside Bill Murray, wearing a jersey gifted to him by Eddie Vedder.The former White Stripes frontman was attending the game in Tokyo, Japan, where he recently played two shows as part of his current world tour.During his penultimate Japanese concert, Vedder joined him on stage for a cover of Neil Young’s ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’, during the show’s encore.It seems that following the gig, the Pearl Jam frontman gifted White a vintage Cubs jersey, which he wore to attend the game. When arriving at the Tokyo Dome stadium in said jersey, he realised he’d been seated next to Murray.White shared his thoughts on the strange scenario on Instagram yesterday (March 18), writing: “You know what it’s like when you go to see an MLB game between the Cubs and the Dodgers in Tokyo, Japan wearing a game worn Cubs jersey from the year you were born (’75) with your favourite number on it that Eddie Vedder gifted you before the game and you walk to your seat and realise that Bill Murray is by the randomness of the universe sitting next to you to watch that game.

VEGYN has announced a reimagining of AIR‘s iconic 1998 album ‘Moon Safari’, expected to be out in April.Titled ‘Blue Moon Safari’, the VEGYN version of the project is due out on April 12 – and will see the electronic producer put his own twist on the French band’s classic debut album.The original ‘Moon Safari’ became known for its dreamy synths, groovy bass lines, and rich melodies – cementing itself as a melodic, ambient-pop classic. VEGYN’s version of the AIR album will add experimental soundscaping, along with an energised lease of life.AIR have recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of ‘Moon Safari’ by playing the project live for the first time.

Manic Street Preachers have moved ahead of Sabrina Carpenter in the race for the UK Number One album this week.The Welsh group are making the sprint for the top of the charts with their recently released record ‘Critical Thinking’, which marks their 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2022’s ‘The Ultra Vivid Lament’.If they make the top spot by the end of the week, it will mark the Manics’ third chart-topping UK album. They first hit the milestone back in 1998 with their ‘This Is My Truth, Tell Me Yours’, then did so again with their aforementioned 14th LP.Hot on their heels for the milestone, however, is US pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter, whose massive summer album ‘Short N’ Sweet’ is back on the charts after a new deluxe edition arrived last week, and is currently sitting in second place.

The Cure have shared a snippet of their menacing new track ‘Drone:NoDrone’ from their forthcoming album ‘Songs Of A Lost World‘.The snippet of the song that was shared features a heavy and distorted bassline and pounding drums. Graham Coxon has revealed that he is open to the idea of Blur getting a hologram show similar to that of ABBA Voyage, but on one condition.The Britpop guitarist discussed the potential of the band getting their own avatars made as part of a hologram show during a new interview with Radio X. Lana Del Rey has teamed up with Quavo for a new single, ‘Tough’.The pair had been teasing the collaboration for some time, with the Migos rapper first hinting at working with Del Rey in a photo posted in May. IDLES have shared two new recordings as part of their first Spotify Singles release, including a cover of ‘Mood Swings’ by Little Simz.The Bristol rock band have reworked the track to feature a more lo-fi soundscape, embracing the dance music references that influenced their latest album ‘TANGK’. Their electronic-driven take on ‘Mood Swings’ also incorporates elements of Peaches’ ‘Fuck The Pain Away’ and The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Elektrobank’.‘Mood Swings’ comes from Little Simz’ EP ‘Drop 7’, released February this year. Produced by Jakwob (Nia Archives, Shygirl), the original version was drenched in 808s and club-inspired beats, alongside an interpolation of Solange’s ‘Binz’ that’s absent in IDLES interpretation.As part of the release they also shared a new recording of ‘Roy’, a track from ‘TANGK’.
