Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has announced that he will be sitting out of the band’s European tour.Clown took to social media to announce the news ahead of the band’s European tour kickoff in Austria today (June 7). Per his statement, Clown will not be participating in the tour to take care of his ailing wife “through some health issues”.“I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that I’m back home supporting my wife through some health issues, and I’ll be back on the road as soon as I can,” he wrote.

Sir Elton John, has shared an update on his spouse’s health ahead of his upcoming surgery.Furnish spoke about Sir Elton’s current health during a new interview with The Sun, and revealed that he has hopes that the surgery will leave the rock icon feeling like “a new man”.The singer, songwriter and pianist is set to undergo a knee operation in the next few weeks and, according to his partner, he is doing well in the run-up to the surgery.“He’s doing amazing,” he told the outlet at his and Sir Elton’s annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party (via Music News).“He’s having another knee done in a couple of weeks and by the time the summer rolls around, he’ll have two brand new spanking knees.”Furnish also joked that his 76-year-old partner may be up for hitting the dancefloor again after the surgery, despite wrapping up his final tour last year. “I think you’ll see him breakdancing down the carpet next year,” he said.The rock veteran completed his final ever tour – titled ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ – last year, which included an already iconic slot at Glastonbury in the summer.The performance at Worthy Farm was given a glowing five-star review by NME’s Andrew Trendell, who described it as “one of the festival’s best-ever headline sets”.“The crowd present are all ages, with the youngest singing even louder for one simple reason: Elton’s music is timeless and travels.

Courtney Love has reignited speculation about a Hole reunion, telling a crowd in London that she will be returning with the band “later”.The moment took place last night (February 27), when the ‘90s icon made a surprise appearance with Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong as he performed an intimate show in the capital with his covers band The Coverups.The gig was the first of two surprise gigs in the capital that Armstrong announced last week, and saw the group – who are famed for their impromptu gigs – deliver renditions of rock and punk staples at The Garage in Islington.Around halfway through the gig, the Green Day frontman announced to the crowd that Love would be joining them for a special appearance. Netflix is reportedly looking to beef up its cast for the second of its hit series, Beef.According to a report from Deadline Hollywood, series creator Lee Sung Jin hopes to rope in several big names to play feuding couples for the second season of Beef.Per Deadline Hollywood, Lee is currently eyeing A-listers Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway – who starred together in the 2010 rom-com Love & Other Drugs and in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain – as one couple.Also being eyed to star as the second couple are Priscilla standout Cailee Spaeny and May December and Riverdale star Charles Melton. According to Deadline, “no deals are in place” at the moment and that Netflix and A24 are “ready to get the second season into production by late summer or fall.”In August 2023, Lee Sung Jin said he was “really open” to the idea of a second season.

Milburn will be reforming for a one-off hometown show for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus in 2024.The band will be headlining the third of four nights at the circus-themed event at Don Valley Bowl on Saturday August 31. They have also hand-picked their opening acts, with Jake Bugg, The Selecter, The Rifles, Seb Lowe and Gia Ford all set to appear.“Don Valley has a special place in our hearts and to return at the top of a bill which has so many great artists on it, is an honour,” said Milburn frontman Joe Carnall.“Last time we performed at Don Valley it was really wet, so we’re chuffed that we’ve got a big top to play in this time.

ABBA‘s Voyage virtual concert experience could be making its way around the world.Universal Music Group chairman Lucian Grainge revealed in a company earnings call per Variety on Thursday (March 2): “Plans are now in development to take ‘ABBA Voyage’ around the world”. No other information – including targetted cities, venues and dates – has been announced.ABBA’s Voyage experience debuted at the ABBA Arena in London in May 2022.

Radiohead‘s ‘Bloom’ performed by Thom Yorke has been shared for a Greenpeace advert during Shark Week.Yorke has contributed to the campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the plight of the global shark population, in a partnership with the environmental charity Greenpeace.The description for the advert reads: “In the last 50 years the global shark population has plummeted by 70 percent,” the video description notes. “Sharks are being wiped out by overfishing for profit.

At one point in the clip the numbers “1972” flash up on screen.They followed it up earlier this month with a mysterious split-screen teaser which sees frontman Billie Joe Armstrong strumming an acoustic riff as black and white archive footage plays backwards. The numbers “1972” once again appear.Green Day have now shared another teaser clip, giving fans a little more of a look at what appears to be incoming new music.All three members of the band can be seen discussing a melody and rehearsing as a track that sounds reminiscent of ‘The Static Age’ from 2009’s ‘21st Century Breakdown‘ plays over the top of the video.
