car crash in Ayrshire. The two girls, aged 7, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the collision on the B7038, near to Spittalhill, on Sunday afternoon.
Two men, aged 36 and 38, and a 34-year-old woman were also taken to Crosshouse Hospital with serious injuries.A 3-year-old girl was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.The crash involved a blue Peugeot 206 and a grey Volkswagen Passat.
The road was closed for seven hours whilst officers carried out enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
Sergeant Craig Beaver, of Glasgow's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our investigation into the crash continues and it's important we establish exactly what happened here. "I am appealing.
