Matt Berninger has announced a series of intimate UK solo shows and Q&A events set for this spring.The National frontman will perform three stripped-back shows, joined by producer Sean O’Brien and Julia Laws (Ronboy), both of whom feature on his upcoming record, ‘Get Sunk’, which was previewed earlier this month with new single ‘Bonnet Of Pins’.The performances mark the first opportunity for UK audiences to hear material from the new record, which arrives on 30th May via Concord/Book Records, and marks the second solo album from Berninger, following on from his 2020 debut ‘Serpentine Prison’.Visit here to pre-order the new album, and here to order tickets, which go on sale Wednesday (March 26) at 10am.Alongside the intimate shows, Berninger will also take part in several Q&A sessions, with these included events at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club with BBC Radio 6’s Chris Hawkins, London’s KEF Music Gallery with Huw Stephens, and Union Chapel with Matt Everitt.A post shared by Matt Berninger (@greengloves777)Following these April dates, Berninger will embark on a tour across North America, the UK, and Europe.These kick off with a series of North American stops this spring, commencing in Seattle on May 19. Yard Act have announced a one-off headline show at Blackpool Tower for later this year. Wet Leg look set to play two UK concerts in Brighton and London.The Isle Of Wight band appear to be playing at the Green Door Store in Brighton tonight (March 23) and at the Moth Club in the capital tomorrow (March 24) under the pseudonym Uma Thurman, although they joked that the real actor “will not be in attendance”.Though initially announced without revealing the band’s identity, Wet Leg later appeared to confirm their involvement by sharing a “first come first served” link to the Moth Club date via their their social media accounts, which has since been deleted.Links to both shows are also still appearing at both venues although tonight’s concert has already sold out while the Moth Club gig currently has a waiting list, which you can access here.

Happy Mondays and Black Grape, has died aged 60.Tributes have been paid from a number of Wagstaff’s friends and colleagues, including Bez, who posted a retro image of Black Grape on his Facebook page on Saturday (March 22), adding: “Mr Paul Wagstaff (Wags), remembering the good times. RIP my friend.”Wagstaff was part of the band Paris Angels, who emerged during the Madchester period in the late 1980s. Closely associated with the burgeoning acid house scene and the legendary Hacienda nightclub, their funky indie dance music was exemplified by singles such as ‘Perfume’ and ‘Scope’.When Shaun Ryder and Bez formed Black Grape in 1993 after the dissolution of Happy Mondays, they recruited Wagstaff on guitar.
