Prince Charles and wife Camilla took to BBC Scotland to present the weather forecast - and Charles, for one, wasn’t pleased with the script.The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall - who are also Duke and Duchess of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, Scotland - headed over to the headquarters of the regional division of the BBC at Pacific Quay in Glasgow.Celebrating 60 iconic years of BBC Scotland television back in 2012, the Duke and Duchess got in front of the camera, grabbed a clicker and readied the autocue.But things didn’t go entirely to plan, as it wasn’t long before Prince Charles was criticising the script given to him by BBC bosses.In his element, Charles began his report by announcing: “Well, it’s an unsettled picture as we head towards the end of the week.
This afternoon it’ll be cold, wet and windy across most of Scotland.”Charles looked dapper as ever in a double-breasted black suit and blue shirt, donning a red-and-navy striped tie for the occasion with a deep purple pocket square.But things took a tense turn as he announced: “In the west, rain will be lighter and patchier - there will be maybe a few drier interludes over Dumfries House in Ayreshire - aha!”Dumfries House is, of course, owned by the Prince’s Foundation.Things progressed quickly, as Charles read out: “There’s potential for a few flurries over Balmoral - who the hell wrote this script - as the afternoon goes on.”But like a true pro, Charles continued: “A little hazy sunshine for the Castle of Mey, but a cold day everywhere with temperatures of just eight Celsius and a brisk northeasterly wind.“Thank God it isn’t a Bank Holiday!” he giggled.It was soon Camilla’s turn, though her segment was slightly bogged down by audio issues.Still, she looked regal as.
