Danny Dyer lands massive new Netflix show following EastEnders departure

EastEnders legend Danny Dyer has landed another huge show with Netflix after quitting the BBC One soap.Netflix has announced soap star Danny, 44, will be joining them as the host of a brand new quiz show.The actor, whose final scenes in Albert Square are yet to be aired, will be hosting a new show on the streaming service alongside comedian Ellie Taylor, 38.Netflix broke the news on Twitter, writing: “NEWS: Danny Dyer (@MrDDyer) and Ellie Taylor (@EllieJaneTaylor) will host CHEAT, a brand new Netflix quiz show where contestants can literally cheat their way to a fortune.“Cheat is a new gameshow which will see contestants use their general knowledge skills or lie their way to £50,000”.Danny said: "This is a great new series and there’s no quiz show better suited for me; expect enormous wins, loads of slippery people cheating and banter with the one and only, Ellie Taylor."The 44-year-old actor confirmed back in January that he would be leaving his role as Mick Carter in the BBC soap after nine years.Since choosing not to renew his EastEnders contract, Danny has also signed up to present a travel show with his eldest daughter Dani Dyer.For more of the latest showbiz and TV news from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here.The programme is set to air on E4 and will see the actor and former Love Island star tour the globe together.

One source told The Sun: “Danny has offers coming in left right and centre, and a lot of the things he has wanted to do he can’t because EastEnders have such strict rules about what he can and can’t do. “It’s driven him mad at times and he’s now ready for a change.
