Families of residents at Victoria Care Home in Blantyre were delighted to witness a piper performing live in the street - and briefly see their relatives from a distance.Activities coordinator Danielle Devlin organised for some’ relatives to stand outside the care home (observing social distancing at all times) for the last weekly clap for carers on Thursday, May 28.Staff then took the residents who wanted to participate out to the car park where Tam the piper, from Halfway in Cambuslang, attended and played for everyone involved.A spokesperson for Victoria Care Home said: “It was an emotional event as families have not been able to visit the home during the lockdown and some were able to see their family member from across the car.
