Residents at a care home in the north of England have come face to face with their loved ones for the first time since the start of lockdown almost three months ago.
And it's all thanks to a glass pod, which has been installed in the gardens of Eighton Lodge in Gateshead. Until now, relatives had been keeping in contact with their elderly family members via the telephone, and photographs sent by staff.
But the pods mean that finally, they are able to see each other, and have a chat too. There's no hugging or touching, but relatives can speak to each other via an phone intercom system.
