I am just back from the Dartmouth Food Festival along the coast in Devon. It is run by my old friend, Mitch Tonks, whose Seahorse restaurant is in the town.
We both opened our first places around the same time and have been good mates ever since.Last year, the festival didn’t happen for the obvious reason, but this time round it was back in full swing, with a contingent of big names down from the capital.
I cooked a four-course dinner on the opening night, and gave a talk afterwards. There must have been a couple of thousand people milling around the various events.
