Salford have moved quickly to bring young St Helens centre Ben Davies in on loan after suffering significant injury setbacks to Kallum Watkins and Kevin Brown.
Watkins played the final half an hour of the Red Devils' defeat to Warrington last time out with a torn medial ligament that will require surgery, while halfback Brown also needs an operation and could be looking at three months on the sidelines. "There's a fallout of that congested period of games and it's probably knocked us about a bit," explained coach Richard Marshall. "Kallum Watkins will be undergoing a knee operation and will be out for 10-12 weeks with a medial ligament repair. "Kev Brown has ruptured his ankle ligament.
