Actor Anthony James has died. The star tragically lost his battle with cancer just two days before his 78th birthday. Anthony was best known for his role in Clint Eastwood's 1992 Western film Unforgiven.
He died on Tuesday at the age of 77. Anthony enjoyed a long career in Hollywood, landing his breakthrough role at the age of 26 in 1967's The Heat of the Night.
The movie won Best Picture at the Academy Awards the following year. Anthony's decades-long career also saw him star in movie Vanishing Point, High Plains Drifter and Tick, Tick, Tick.
He also landed numerous TV roles, appearing in Hawaii Five-O, Knight Rider and The A-Team. Anthony retired from acting after his starring role in Unforgiven.
