Deadly tornado wipes out four members of same family leaving young boy without dad
A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for the family’s funeral expenses and hospital bills in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of the relatives who remain, including young Brysen. So far, $446,607 has been raised out of a goal of $500,000, and nearly 8,000 people having contributed to the fund.The GoFundMe description reads: “All funds will go directly to Kuri for hospital bills, ongoing expenses and provide proper celebrations of life for the family."Footage of the tornado shows homes being ripped apart as the storm hit Madison County, southwest of Des Moines on Saturday (March 6).Madison County Emergency Management Director Diogenes Ayala said: "This is, I think, the worst anyone has seen in quite a long time," with the storm reaching leaving almost a 14-mile path of destruction in its wake.Officials estimate 25 to 30 homes have been destroyed.In addition to the residential properties, significant damage was reported south and east of the city of Chariton, Iowa, and damage was also found in Red Haw State Park.Meanwhile, the county conservation building at Pin Oak Marsh was destroyed."Let people that are living there, let them clean up, give them some space.
