Brit and lifelong Liverpool fan shot dead in US after visit to late-night store
shot dead while holidaying in the US while visiting a late-night convenience store.Benjamin Tucker died from a gunshot wound after a suspect is said to have allegedly opened fire, killing Tucker and injuring another.The 27-year-old Brit was visiting family in Savannah, Georgia, when he was gunned down at a Timesaver Store, while another man, Henry McDonough, 32, was injured in the crossfire but survived, the Mirror reports.Tucker had been living in London and was originally from Hampshire, and had flown over to visit relatives in the US for a month when he was shot to death in the store.Police have charged Georgiamae Lawrence with Tucker's murder.The 27-year-old's family paid tribute to the huge Liverpool fan, calling Tucker a "smart, loyal and funny man".They said: "On Saturday April 24, 2022, a dear son, brother and friend was cruelly taken from us. Benjamin Tucker, aged 27, was randomly shot dead in Savannah, USA whilst visiting his family.
