Glen Powell has revealed that his Twisters co-star David Corenswet was on set filming for the disaster film when he got the call confirming his casting as Superman – see what Powell said below.While at a panel discussion for a special screening of Twisters, Powell – who was flanked by film lead Daisy Edgar-Jones – revealed to the audience in attendance that Corenswet was on the set of Twisters when he was confirmed as the Man of Steel.Powell revealed: “We all got the call, and we have it on camera of us all freaking out as he told us he’s Superman.”When asked if footage of the cast’s celebration has been posted online yet, Powell confirmed: “No, it hasn’t. Superman fans have been sharing their “disappointment” at early images of the character’s new suit, as worn by actor David Corenswet.The film, now simply titled Superman after having initially been named Superman: Legacy, is set to arrive in July 2025 as the launch movie of the latest version of the DC Universe.Helmed by Guardians Of The Galaxy’s James Gunn – who is now the co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran – Superman will also star Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner and more.The first look at Corenswet as Superman came last month when director James Gunn shared a picture on social media of the actor in costume.In the picture, Corenswet is seen wearing the iconic red and blue Superman suit, albeit with changes to its logo and seemingly the return of the Kryptonian’s iconic red briefs.
