James Gunn has announced that a beloved character will debut in his upcoming Superman film – find out more below.Gunn took to social media on Tuesday night (October 15) to announce that Krypto the Superdog will make its live-action debut in his upcoming film alongside the Man of Steel, David Corenswet.The writer-director’s announcement came in the form of graphics depicting Superman and Krypto sitting side-by-side on a nearby planet as they watch Earth rotate on its axis. Gunn wrote that Krypto’s addition to the film was inspired by his own dog, Ozu, which he had adopted shortly after he began penning the screenplay for Superman.Gunn explained: “Ozu, who came from a hoarding situation in a backyard with 60 other dogs & never knew human beings, was problematic to say the least.
