Nathan Fillion to Reprise Guy Gardner Role for DC's 'Lanterns' HBO Series

Nathan Fillion has joined the cast of DC’s new HBO series! More than two years ago, James Gunn, one of the co-CEOs of DC Studios, announced that a series was in the works at HBO.

The new series will tell the “story of a couple of Green Lanterns, Jon Stewart and Hal Jordan.” On Monday (March 31), Variety confirmed that Nathan, 54, will be reprising his role as Guy Gardner, one of the multiple Green Lanterns, in the upcoming series. He first voiced Hal Jordan, one of the many members in the 2011 animated movie Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. He played the role again in 2012’s Justice League: Doom, 2013’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, 2015’s Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, 2018’s The Death of Superman, and 2019’s Reign of the Supermen.

Each of the animated films was a straight-to-DVD release. Nathan will also be playing Green Lantern in the upcoming Superman movie, which hits theaters on July 11.
