Queen believed to be attending Prince Philip's memorial service despite mobility fears

Queen is believed to be attending her late husband Prince Philip's memorial service today amid fears that she'd have to cancel due to possible mobility issues.Her Majesty will be joining other members of the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey today to pay tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh's life and work.As well as the Firm, more than 30 foreign royals, the Duke’s wider family and friends, and 500 representatives from his patronages and charities will all be gathering to pay their respects.The thanksgiving service was cut down to a relatively brief 50 minutes and has been described to run as a "tightly managed no thrills affair".

A source speaking the Sun previously suggested that Buckingham Palace officials were trying to find a way of getting the 95-year-old Queen into Westminster Abbey without being seen.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have decided not to fly back to the UK for the thanksgiving event. According to a royal expert, the Queen “knows” Prince Philip would be “angry and disappointed” that the Duke of Sussex has not attended.
