Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

After Prince Philip's memorial service at Westminster Abbey, Sophie Wessex returned to royal duties. On Tuesday, The Queen put on a brave face as she led the royal arrives at the London venue, ready to celebrate the Duke of Edinburgh's life.

And days later, the Countess of Wessex was back at work as she planted an elm tree in the garden of Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

Wrapping up against the chilly British weather, the 57 year old looked sensational in a chic off-white coat and black gloves as she brought the first planting season to a close.

Sophie opted for a fuss-free beauty look as her blonde locks were tied back into a low ponytail. Despite wearing a pair of heeled brown boots, Sophie kept steady as she placed a shovel in the soil.
