President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has survived yet another assassination attempt at the hands of Vladimir Putin's Russian death squads after police swooped on a gang of bloodthirsty assassins. The group of 25 highly trained killers were being led by a Russian secret service agent when they were apprehended in Uzhgorod near the Slovakian border.According to Ukrainian counterintelligence, the group was being led and organised by a member of the Russian secret service as Putin ramps up the pressure to remove Ukraine's heroic president.
The group's intentions prior to their capture by the police was to kill Zelenskyy and then infiltrate elements of the Ukrainian government.Ukrainian news site Unian, reports that the group was only stopped as an anti-war faction within the Russian secret service told Zelenskyy's team of the squad's whereabouts.
The other targets reportedly on the group's list included Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak.
Of course, surviving assassination attempts isn't anything new for President Zelenskyy as since the war began on February 24 he's allegedly survived more than a dozen of them.
