Wladimir Klitschko has admitted he is in the "biggest fight of my life" on the "terrifying" front line of the war in Ukraine.
The former heavyweight world champion has taken up arms alongside his brother Vitali to defend his nation following the Russian invasion on February 24.Vitali is also the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and alongside his brother has headed to the frontline "ready to die" for Ukraine.With FIFA having already banned the Russian national team from this year's World Cup, Wladimir has now called on others to help in isolating Russia from the world of sport.Speaking to the Mirror, he explained: “Boxing is sport – this is war, and my people are dying.“During this conversation, innocent women, children and civilians will be subjected to bombs, missiles and horrifying reality of war.“People say this is the biggest fight of my life, and I agree – it's so sad to realise how terrifying the war is.“This is why I ask your readers, all the people of Great Britain, to back our campaign and to act now, in any way possible, to support Ukraine.Should Russian athletes be banned from all global sporting events?
