Three-weight world champion Lomachenko turned down a shot reclaiming the unified lightweight title from George Kambosos Jr to stay and defend his country.And whilst the current WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion had postponed his scheduled bout with Joshua, Usyk could not be set to leave Ukraine and honour the rematch clause.ESPN report that Usyk has received permission from Ukrainian Sports Minister Vadym Gutzeit to leave the country during the war ahead of a summer rematch for the unified heavyweight championship.
