boxing icons Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko hope Oleksandr Usyk can deliver 'special messages' with the world watching when he defends his heavyweight titles against Anthony Joshua in 2022.
Usyk was granted permission to leave Ukraine to begin preparations for his bout with Joshua. The Ukrainian returned to his homeland last month to defend his beloved country from the Russian invasion.
However, the 35-year-old announced last week that he will battle it out with Joshua once again after comfortably defeating the Brit on points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London.
It means Usyk now holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles.Vitali Klitschko, the Mayor of Kyiv and former world heavyweight champion along with brother Wladimir, revealed he had discussed Usyk’s return to sporting action.
