Austin-based soul-psych duo Black Pumas have had a brilliant year behind their self-titled debut album, locking in a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, becoming almost ever-present on the late-night circuit, and landing in the sweet spot between soul-loving grown-ups and their vinyl-hoarding kids.
Today they're announcing a deluxe edition of Black Pumas, due out on August 28 (and October 9 physically). It'll include a handful of covers— the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby," Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," Death’s “Politicians in My Eyes,” and Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City" — as well as live versions of some of the album's standout tracks.
