X Factor star Stacey Solomon, 33, has described how she “only has a few mates” - in contrast with the 5.4 million people who follow her on Instagram. The star revealed it was lockdown that really inspired her to embrace the online community and the world of social media. Stacey opened up about her Instagram journey on the podcast Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's Parenting Hell a couple of weeks ago. Rob asked Stacey if she felt there was a lot of pressure for her to upload a lot of home and family-based content to Instagram regularly.Stacey is the host of the BBC show Sort Your Life Out, where she revamps cluttered homes in the UK with her team to change the way families live for the better. Speaking to Rob and Josh about her use of Instagram, she mused: “I don’t think there is that much of a pressure because I don't think anyone is that hooked on anyone else's life.” Rob quickly protested this, saying that she was just “being humble” and that people loved her “unbelievable” social media content. The comedian then went on to point out the former singer’s millions of Instagram followers, naming her the “influencer of influencers”.“I think it’s more casual than that, Rob,” Stacey explained. “I don’t think if I go off for a few days, people are going to be like, ‘Oh my life is over…’ You know?”“I enjoy it,” Stacey continued.
