Wes Anderson’s new film, The Phoenician Scheme, has unveiled an action-packed trailer at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.The film stars Benicio del Toro and Mia Threapleton as a father and daughter struggling to overcome their difficult relationship. Unusually for the director, known for quirky comedy, the trailer shown to the convention crowd featured a lot of combat.

Focus Features took CinemaCon attendees inside the mind of Wes Anderson on Wednesday afternoon, showing off footage of his upcoming The Phoenician Scheme. This marks the filmmaker’s third major collaboration with Focus and tells the story of a family and a family business.

Anderson’s latest film, an espionage thriller, debuted a first-look trailer on Wednesday as part of Universal’s presentation to theater owners.

This Bursted Earth.The character, a spoof horror author played by Matthew Holness, has performed on stages around the country on previous tours TerrorTome and Incarcerat, bringing his deadpan humour to audiences through a theatrical book reading and audience Q&As.Starting with stage shows, Marenghi became a cult hit thanks to the 2004 series Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place, a send-up of supernatural shows such as Tales Of The Unexpected. Cast members Richard Ayoade, Alice Lowe, and Matt Berry all went on to great success after appearing in the series.In the two decades since, Holness’ hilariously arrogant horror author has retained a loyal following, and this latest tour looks to add to the 50,000 tickets sold across the previous runs.The press release reads: “Garth Marenghi’s This Bursted Earth continues the adventures of horror author Nick Steen, who has appeared in Marenghi’s two previous bestselling titles, Garth Marenghi’s TerrorTome and Garth Marenghi’s Incarcerat.

Jesse Eisenberg, the director and star of new film A Real Pain, has talked about how British filmmaker Richard Ayoade is his favourite director, and the advice he took from their collaboration.Eisenberg was speaking to The Guardian while promoting the film, which stars himself and Kieran Culkin as Jewish American cousins who travel to Poland to visit the childhood home of their grandmother and connect with their heritage.A Real Pain is only Eisenberg’s second film as director, and his first time as director and star. Pixar has revealed Disney+ premiere dates for its upcoming Inside Out spinoff series Dream Productions and original series Win or Lose.

Ethan Shanfeld Pixar has unveiled the Disney+ release dates for its two upcoming television series. “Dream Productions,” an “Inside Out” spinoff that focuses on the studio inside Riley’s mind that produces dreams, will debut on the streamer on Dec. 11, 2024.

Dan Harmon‘s animated comedy Krapopolis will return for a fourth season on Fox. Harmon announced the news during Fox’s Animation Domination panel at San Diego Comic-Con, and ahead of the Season 3 premiere on Sunday, September 29.
