Ethan Shanfeld Oscar-nominated actor June Squibb has joined the voice cast of Pixar’s “Inside Out 2.” The 94-year-old Squibb last worked with the Disney-owned studio for 2020’s “Soul” and 2019’s “Toy Story 4,” and has lent her voice to other animated projects including “Solar Opposites,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and “The Fungies.” Squibb’s character details are unknown, but she joins an A-list voice cast in the sequel, out June 14. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black return as Joy, Sadness and Anger, respectively, while Tony Hale and Liza Lapira took over for Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling as Fear and Disgust after reported salary disputes.

‘Inside Out’ introduces Maya Hawke as ‘anxiety’ in new trailer

Disney’s Pixar has unveiled a new trailer for Inside Out 2 this week (November 10) and Stranger Things actress Maya Hawke will star in the new film as “anxiety”.The new film comes more than a decade after the original Inside Out was released in 2015. That film was set inside the mind of a young girl named Riley and explored her emotions including Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger as her world changed around her.In the latest film, Riley is now a teenager and experiences a new emotion – Anxiety – which is voiced by Hawke.In the teaser trailer, viewers see what a significant effect Anxiety has on Riley in a short time as signified by the sound of an emergency alarm and a wrecking ball coming into view.“I’m Anxiety,” Hawke says to the other emotions in Riley’s head.

‘Daily Show’ Correspondents Get Crack at Hosting Duties

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor The correspondents who help keep Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” running will each get their own moment in the spotlight. The late-night program, which has relied on celebrity guest such as Leslie Jones and Sarah Silverman in the wake of the departure of Trevor Noah last year, will now give its correspondents a crack at leading the program over the next few weeks. Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., Lewis Black and Jordan Klepper will all get a chance to host the program between the week of April 3 and the week of May 8, Comedy Central announced Friday. Roy Wood Jr. will start the rotation during the week of April 3, followed by Jordan Klepper the week of April 17. Desi Lydic will host the program the week of April 24 ,and Dulce Sloan will anchor the series the week of May 1. Michael Kosta will lead during the week of May 8. Ronny Chieng and Lewis Black have not been assigned weeks as of yet.

‘Inside Out 2’ Coming in Summer 2024, With Amy Poehler Returning

Wilson Chapman editor One of Pixar’s most acclaimed films is getting a sequel. “Inside Out 2” is in the works from director Kelsey Mann, it was announced at the D23 Expo on Friday. Meg LeFauve is writing the script and Mark Nielsen is producing the pic, which is very early in production and coming in summer 2024. Released in 2015, the original “Inside Out” imagined a world where people have five core personified emotions — Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust — guiding their thoughts and actions through everyday life. The film zeroed in on the emotions of Riley, a middle-schooler struggling to adapt to her family’s move from Minnesota to San Francisco, as her leading emotion Joy is expelled from the control center and forced to team up with her polar opposite Sadness in a quest through her mind. The film ended with the two coming to an understanding as Joy recognizes the need for Riley to experience an emotionally complex life, and she begins collaborating more with her fellow emotions to steer the girl through adolescence.

George Lopez is suing Pandora over claims the streaming service used his material without licensing the rights to it beforehand.The comedian, 61, said Pandora has used 37 selections from two of his albums - 2001's Right Now Right Now and 2003's Team Leader - on their service, TMZ reported after reviewing legal docs.The Los Angeles native said Pandora did not ask him to use the material and have not paid him for it.
