This Morning's Alison Hammond is set to explore Black history in a brand new series for ITV. As part of Black History Month, the presenter will go on the ultimate school trip as she travels the length of Britain to visit key historical sites, re-examining the history taught in schools from a different angle.

Titled Alison Hammond: Back to School, the new series will see her journey from Hadrian’s Wall to Hampton Court, uncovering the Black figures throughout British history who have been overlooked by the textbooks. "Alison will be given an insight into the significance of black people in Britain’s history by experts who open her eyes to a new perspective on our country’s past and will explore our current teaching of history in schools,".
