Tom Cruise has personally stepped in to support his agent, after she was relieved of her duties following pro-Palestinian social media posts.Maha Dakhil, who represents Cruise, was let go from her role as co-chief of the motion pictures department of CAA (Creative Artists Agency), an influential Los Angeles talent agency. She had made a number of posts on Instagram, including one that read: “What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.”According to Variety, Cruise took “the rare step of going in person” to her office to show his support for her, and he made it known to CAA that he was backing her. It is reported that a group of other CAA assistants threatened to walk out over the agency’s treatment of Dakhil.Dakhil was allowed to stay on at the company as an agent, but she was stepped down from her other senior role. The news comes as Hollywood continues to wrangle with how to deal with artists and executives who choose to be personally outspoken about the ongoing crisis in Israel-Gaza.Earlier today (November 22), Melissa Barrera was dropped from Scream VII after writing an Instagram post in support of Palestine. In a post on her Instagram Stories, Mexican-born Barrera, who played Sam Carpenter, wrote: “I too come from a colonized country.

ill-advised Instagram posts was made to go on a listening tour of Jewish leaders, sources tell The Post.CAA agent Maha Dakhil, 48, who represents A-listers including Tom Cruise and Madonna, is still working at the firm, despite resigning from its internal board after coming under fire for her posts. We’re told she went to meet Hollywood rabbi, Steve Leder, of Wilshire Boulevard Temple, as well as Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti Defamation League.A company source told us: “Maha has divided CAA — there are some Jewish agents who feel very strongly that she should learn from what she did and that she should definitely be sanctioned, if not sacked.“But there was also a feeling that CAA had to be careful because they could face rebellion from staff who thought that Maha was being muzzled from expressing her own opinions.”Dakhil’s actions led to Oscar-winning “The Social Network” writer Aaron Sorkin quitting CAA in protest and jumping over to rival WME.The source said: “Maha looked like she was going to be the next heir apparent at CAA, and one f-up has called her judgement into question.“At work, she’s always been very professional, but she’s rubbed some people the wrong way and tended to make herself the story, with selfies with the stars and attending all the parties.”As for now, Dakhil has wiped her Instagram of all her starry photos and has not posted since the debacle. The Post has reached out to CAA for comment. And while Hollywood gets back to work after the strike, CAA has more issues as the agency is being sued by actress Julia Ormond over convicted rapist and former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The complaint, filed last month, alleges that CAA top brass, Bryan Lourd and Kevin Huvane encouraged her
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘fuming’ over William and Kate’s A-list connections: report
told Closer magazine.“They may have moved to California, but it’s William and Kate who had the most support out there, and there is a certain level of smugness about that.”“They insist that they’d be doing this regardless of where the Sussexes live, but there is no doubt they’ll enjoy showing Meghan and Harry how Hollywood is still very much obsessed with all things royal,” the insider added.According to reports, the Waleses will be kickstarting their Earthshot initiative before planning to “tap all their celebrity friends for help.”To get the ball rolling, William — the heir to the throne — in September flew to NYC to find “trailblazing climate solutions to repair our planet by 2030.”Now, William and Kate are reportedly looking to get their celebrity pals — including Tom Cruise, Taylor Swift, and Tom Hanks — on board with the project.“Everyone wants to be around them,” a source said of the Waleses. The new report seemingly echoes PR expert Andy Barr’s recent comments about the Sussexes, claiming that they are “jealous” of William and Kate’s advantage submitting a trademark application in the US.Barr told the Mirror that Harry and Meghan would be somewhat envious of the doors that would potentially open to William and Kate — should they wish to take on the States.“Whilst Harry and Meghan have a powerful and well established network of celebrity friends and ‘fixers’, there is no substitute for being an actual, fully paid up member of the royal family,” Barr told the outlet.“The global interest and intrigue in the British Royal Family means that they are guaranteed crowds wherever they go and whatever they do.”William reportedly submitted an application to the US Patent and Trademark Office on May 12 to trademark “The Royal
