UK has not seen the last of the devastating Storm Eunice, with fierce gales and snow set to last for another 60 hours. Three more days of Met Office weather warnings have been issued, following a Friday where four people in the British Isles lost their lives as a result of the storm.
Two yellow warnings are in place today, the first covering northern England, Northern Ireland and the west coast of Scotland alerting of ice following a day of snow in some of those areas.
The second will last from 6am to 6pm, warning again of severe winds in the South East. The Met Office say that winds there "could hamper recovery efforts from Storm Eunice", adding: "There is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close."There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected."On Sunday, a rain warning in northern England and yet another wind warning - this time in Northern Ireland, northern Wales, northern England and the west coast of Scotland - have been issued.
That wind warning extends until 12 noon on Monday, with "very strong winds" forecast "across parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland and also some Irish Sea coasts".
