Rapper Dave upsets Scots fans after last-minute change of tour dates in Glasgow

BRIT award-winning rapper Dave has upset Scots fans after a last-minute change of his tour dates in Glasgow next week. The artist was forced to change the date of his Scotland and Newcastle shows to play London gigs that were postponed as a result of damage caused by Storm Eunice.

Dave, 23, who wowed the crowds at the 02 Arena for the Brits after receiving a string of awards, announced that he was changing his schedule to accommodate the gigs down south.The roof of the 02 London dockside venue, originally known as the millennium dome when it was built, was damaged in the storm.The musician confirmed that original dates for the London O2 have now been rescheduled for Monday February 28 and Tuesday March 1.However, March 1 is when he Dave is due to play Glasgow's Hydro, while February 28 is the date of his gig in Newcastle's Utilita Arena.Now the Newcastle show will be held on March 5 while the Glasgow show at the Hydro will be on March 7.Dave wrote: "The shows at the O2 Arena have been rescheduled for the 28th of February and the 1st of March, and the shows in Newcastle and Glasgow have moved to Saturday 5th of March (Newcastle) and Monday 7th of March (Glasgow)."He added: "I’m genuinely so sorry I had to move these dates."Fans who had booked travel and accommodation voiced their anger at the rescheduled dates.Dave continued: "To everyone in Newcastle and Glasgow I wanna say again I’m so sorry, we literally tried everything but it was out of our control and the only way to do the shows on the tour."I’m gonna try my best to make it up to you but now all I can do for now is apologise on a level".Although fans took to social media replying to the tweet to voice their anger.One said: "Nah thats mad short notice.
